I said “yes to the dress” and bought this gorgeous wedding gown for my April 2017 wedding from the famous Kleinfeld’s in NYC. It is a very flattering “fit and flare” or trumpet/mermaid style dress with beautiful sweetheart neckline. The label size is 18, but it has been slightly altered in the following ways:
- About 2inches hemmed from the bottom with lace edge preserved- Im 5'5'' and altered to fit me wearing 2-3inch heels
- Roughly 1inch taken in on sides/waste area
- Added custom hand beaded cap sleeves (which retailed for an additional $750)
- Added button down back of dress (instead of lace up)
- Added a bustle so you can put up the train to dance freely and still walk down the aisle with a beautiful lace train :)
The appliqué lace and Swarovski crystals on this dress are absolutely stunning! Super classy and elegant. The Swarovski crystal embellishment along the sweetheart neckline adds just the right amount of sparkle to stand out but not look too over the top. The back of the dress comes midway up the back. It looks like it’s button down, but there is actually a hidden zipper closure for extra security. My favorite feature is that It also has a hidden lace up corset inside the dress that can be adjusted for many sizes, which holds you in and synches your waste in all the right places for a very secure fit.
I must’ve tried on 100+ dresses and this was by far the most comfortable and flattering one! I originally paid over $4500 this dress + custom cap sleeves and additions, so this is truly an amazing value! Original receipt and additional pictures available upon request.
